About SprintRetro

A free retrospective tool for agile teams

What Is This?

SprintRetro is a free sprint retrospective tool built as a hobby project to help agile teams run collaborative retro sessions. The goal was simple: something fast, private, and not buried behind a paywall or a sign-up form.

Most retrospective tools out there are either overloaded with features nobody asked for, or they require an account and lock the good stuff behind a premium plan. This one does none of that.

How It Works

Real-time collaboration — Everyone in a session sees post-its appear instantly using Socket.IO for real-time communication. Add thoughts, vote on items, and create action points together.
No database — Your retrospective data is not saved anywhere permanent. When a session ends or times out, everything is gone — like a whiteboard that erases itself.
Session-based — Create or join a room with a code, pick a template (Mad-Sad-Glad, Start-Stop-Continue, etc.), add post-its, vote on what matters, and create action points. That is it.

Built by One Person

This is a solo hobby project. No company behind it, no investors, no marketing budget. Just someone who wanted a better retro tool for their own team and decided to build it and share it for free.

If you find it useful, a coffee is always appreciated, but never expected.

Privacy & Terms

No accounts, no tracking, no permanent storage. Your session data disappears when the retro ends. For the full details, see the Privacy Policy.
